How to measure the space for a wardrobe?
Width, height, depth and access: what to write down before choosing a wardrobe.
First, write down the dimensions of the available space
Measure the wall’s width at the bottom, middle and top. Check the height in at least two places, and measure the depth from the wall to the point beyond which the furniture would obstruct movement. Also note the positions of skirting boards, sockets, switches and radiators.
Record all dimensions in the same units. The depth shown in the catalogue describes the furniture itself; plan the clearance in front of it separately. For a wardrobe in a recess, confirm the required fitting clearances against the specific model’s instructions.
The model name does not replace the dimension table
Comparing the “Vista 203” and “Vista 250”, the catalogue lists widths of 203 and 250 cm respectively. Both models have a depth of 61 cm and a height of 215 cm. The wider version takes up an additional 47 cm of wall space; whether such a place remains in your room, decide from your measurements.
Another example is the “Marsylia 203”: its dimension table indicates a width of 208 cm. Hence, the number in the model name alone cannot be relied upon. Always check the dimensions of the specific product and clarify the missing data before ordering.
Check the wardrobe front and access to the room
Check how the door works and where to open it. If the doors are sliding, you still need a comfortable place to stand in front of the cabinet and access its interior. Arrange the shelves, hangers and drawers according to the items you intend to store.
Before ordering, discuss delivery: doorways, corridor turns, staircase or elevator and installation location. The dimensions of the packaged furniture may differ from the dimensions of the assembled furniture, so check them separately.
Keep your exact choices in the enquiry
Choose the model, colour and, if provided, matt or glossy finish. The finish sample is not a promise that the main photo shows the exact colour of the furniture. Selection notes indicate when a photo of a specific colour can be opened.
Send the model link with the width, height and depth you measured. Before confirming an order, agree the interior layout, complete configuration, final price and delivery terms.
